History of Snake Removal.com

My name is David. I built this website as a resource for people who want to get rid of a snake problem. I am a snake control expert with 15 years of experience in Pennsylvania and Florida. I have removed several hundred snakes in my career, from yards, homes, pools, lakes, and industrial buildings. I catch snakes by hand, snake tongs, snake hooks, and traps. I am friends with hundreds of other snake removal experts from my years of contacts in the field of herpetology and reptile and wildlife removal.

My main interest is that people are educated about snakes, and that they make the right decision regarding snake problems. In many cases, the homeowner can just leave a harmless snake alone! However, I do understand that in many cases, people desire to remove the snakes, and that's fine too - I have provided resources here on this website so that you can make the smartest decision.

You basically have three options for getting rid of your snake(s). First, you can call a professional wildlife expert from my directory. Click "Hire a Pro" to the left. This person can catch and remove the snake(s) and take other actions necessary to solve the snake problem. Second, you can purchase a snake trap if you wish to catch the snake yourself. I actually have a direct link to sell the trap here on this website. Third, you can modify your land and seal up your house, maybe even install fencing, to help keep snakes away and out of the house. If try a snake repellent, you will just waste your time and money.

The best snake I ever caught was a seven-foot Eastern Diamondback in Orlando FL. The biggest snake I ever caught was an eleven foot Burmese Python in Orlando. I have caught several rare snakes, and it's always a huge treat for me to see a new snake species. Most of the time, I remove common Southern Black Racers from Florida lawns, and I also remove a surprising number of ringneck snakes from inside homes. All kinds of snakes end up in pools, and the Banded Water Snake is the most common aquatic snake that I catch here in FL. I've caught snakes in basements, kitchens, from inside walls, garages, and yes, several snakes in attics - almost always Yellow Rat Snakes or Red Rat Snakes (Corn Snakes) who have entered attics, lured in by the scent of rats up there - making rat control yet another good snake prevention technique! I really like my job as a snake removal specialist, and I know that many young men would like such a job, but alas, I'm not hiring.

 THE OLD INFO

Before I purchased this URL, some other guy used to have it. I like the old info that used to be on this site, it makes me smile. The guy, who probably in all fairness does know more about herpetology than me, used the site as a way to try to sell $45 telephone consultations about snakes (pre-pay by credit card before calling), or $200 phone consultations if you call on the weekend. Hilarious! I work 7 days a week, at the same rate every day - snakes don't take weekends off. And the cost to actually have him come out to a property to do habitat modification and psychological counseling (stuff like don't wear belts, because they look like snakes) was around $5000. You can read more about it here: Snake Inspection Page. Amazing! I do the same thing, and my service includes expert house seal-up with warrantee, habitat modification, and setting of snake traps and free return trips to remove trapped snakes, all for a total price closer to $200, not $5000. I now have a network of wildlife control companies listed in close to 500 US cities and towns, that will talk to you on the phone for free, and charge a far more reasonable amount to come to your property. Many of these guys provide total snake control services, which include habitat modification, setting of snake traps, and complete house sealing so no snakes can get inside, removal of all present snakes and return trips to remove snakes caught in traps, for a reasonable price. I don't attempt psychological counseling, but I do show you photos of the common snakes in Orlando, including the rare venomous ones - education helps more than anything else. Anyway, here's the old info listed on this site:

It is a strong secondary objective to facilitate an acceptance by the public of the non-harmful vast majority of snake species that we have in this marvelous country.   Due to call cost, volume and limited time only calls to schedule appointments or sell products can be returned.
