St. Louis Missouri Snake Situation: Good evening, I live in a part of St. Louis county where I and all my neighbors have an acre - lots of mature trees and bushes, heavy brush, grass, etc. My neighbor has a pair of Black Rat Snakes living in his tree and he saw them mating the other day - he showed me a photo of it. They are both about 6 ft long. Now we are concerned that in a few months we'll have dozens of snakes to deal with. Do you trap and relocate rat snakes (or kill them if that is even legal)? How much would it cost to trap and remove a couple of rat snakes? What about if there were eggs or young snakes already? I'm on good terms with my neighbor and I'm sure I could get his cooperation to get the snake(s) from the tree. Can you give me an estimate of removal pricing assuming it is a 6 ft black rat snake (or a pair)? Thanks - Tony.

Hi, I have recently moved into a rental home in Saint Louis MO and have found a black rat snake in one of our closets. I would like to have the house checked out (including crawl space and attic) and for the snakes to be removed. Would this be something that you could handle? How much would this cost? If not, do you know who I could contact? Thank you, Morgan

Dear David, I'm currently doing research for a documentary series for Animal Planet called ‘Infested!' about infestations of various pests in people's homes. I was hoping with your experience in snake removal you might be able to help with a few questions I had regarding garter snakes. Would you be available for a call some time in the next few days, or at your earliest convenience? I'd really appreciate any time you could give for a short conversation. Best regards, Nida
