Wilmington Delaware Snake Situation: Hello David, I saw a small snake in my house about 3 weeks ago. I believe it was a scarlet snake based on the picture identification. We placed 3 glue boards down in the corners of the living room but we never saw the snake again. 3 days ago I put down a yellow "humane" snake trap that I bought on-line but we still haven't caught the snake yet. I am terrified because I don't know where he is or if he's even the only one in here. How did he get in the house? I think my husband is secretly afraid of actually finding the snake. He keeps telling me the snake has probably already left the same way it came in. Really? How is that? I need to know so I can seal up that entry point! Seriously, there is a snake in my house! We live out in the Wilmington area in Delaware so there are plenty of critters around, but please, not in the house. I'm ready to pack my bags and move back to the City but before I do anything drastic, can you help? Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Sincerely, Carol P.

My response: A snake inside the house can be tough, but if it's still there, glue-based traps will usually catch it. We can find and seal entry holes into the house if you wish, but the odds of finding a missing snake in a house are very slim - it's either made its way out, or it'll get caught on the glue boards. - David
