Salt Lake City Utah Snake Situation: I saw the website online and I don't know if this is still a viable service, but if it is, any advice you could provide would be very appreciated! The two attached photos are of something we recently found in the unfinished basement of our home. I don't think we really need identification of a particular TYPE of snake-- just whether you think it is really from a snake or not. Inspection with a magnifying glass shows small fibers, which make me suspect it is paper. Also, the "cells" seem to be in a more random pattern than pictures online of shedded snake skins. We are concerned because our pet cat's food and litter box are in the basement. Our home is in a wooded, rural area near Salt Lake City UT and we see many snakes on the property. The house is only a year old and seems to be well constructed, so I would be somewhat surprised/disappointed if there is a hole large enough for a snake to enter. Also, if it IS a snake, could it be attracted by the cat's food? Thank you for your time and any information you can provide!

Hey there! We live in South Africa. There was a snake in our house. Just me(mum), Rian(7) and Anne(4). It ws about 20cm long and about 2cm wide. It was there in the corner, next to n hole in the wall. Sure it came throw that small hole. First thought: google how to kill a snake! My son typed it in. I read out loud the information on your website and what it said about not killing snakes. Next minute, it was slithering towards us. Mum had to do something. We were all on the bed...I jumped on the floor up and down and the snake thought: "crazy lady I'm changing direction." So I told the kids and read what you wrote about not killing snakes. Next minute the snake went through the hole. Rian took the paper I rolled up and he pushed the paper in the hole. Dad will have to close up the hole properly and take us out for dinner for NOT KILLING MR SNAKE! Thank you for your website, you guys are dong and excellent job!!!! You change my mindset towards snakes! Not ready to kiss a snake, but no killing snakes in our house!!!
