Portland Oregon Snake Situation: Hello, We live in the south-Portland OR area and are in desperate need to some help. We have seen multiple snakes in our home & do not know how they are getting in. They are in our yard and have been seen in our kitchen & basement. We are extremely upset about this. Any help/referrals would be wonderful. Thank you in advance.
Please help me determine If this snake is poisonous. I have a three year old daughter who plays outside. With me watching closing on the ground for this snake. It sheds in the same place on top of my basement wall. There is a creek approx 40 ft away. The snake always comes back to the same spot to shed. Does this mean it lives in basement ? There are some cracks where it can come in and out.
I found this snake skin in my garage this afternoon behind my water softener-----no idea how long it has been there, but it wasn't there three months ago! Overall length was about 36". The piece I photographed was about half of it. We live in the suburbs, which is next to Vancouver WA in the NE section of Portland OR Metroplex. The front section was stuck under drywall/stud wall contiguous to main part of the house.....concerns me that it may have found a way into that wall. Thanks for your website offer to attempt an identification.
We found this small skin sticking out from under a door jam in our home. Could you please help us identify it? Or at least tell us if it's venomous? We could send more/better pics if needed. Thank you so much!!
Hey, I came across your website on Google after searching around in an attempt to identify a snake that shed its skin begin in a bush that I'm removing. I noticed that you were offering to identify the skin for free, so I thought I'd take you up on the offer if it's still valid. Attached is a photo of the skin. There's another 3-4' of skin in the bush, but this is the best photo I could get up close. Any help is appreciated!
