Lexington Kentucky Snake Situation: Hello, I have visited your website on several occasions and have learned a great deal. I live in Kentucky, in a very, very rural part of Ohio County and have seen very few snakes since we moved here from California in 2007. I have seen shed skins the last couple of years but they were located far from our house. This year however I have noticed what I believe to be snake poop on our walkways and also this morning found a small snake skin close to the stairs to our porch. I would like to send it to you, or send photographs if you prefer. I am concerned as I have dogs and walk them frequently always watching for snakes. The thought of having several babies concerns me that mother or other's might be close at hand. I try to leave nature in peace and respect the natural balance of things but also care deeply to protect my dogs as one is blind and the other quite a senior old gal. Thank you for your help, please let me know how I should handle the skin either mail or photos. I read the plastic bag suggestions by the previous owner but thought it might get smashed in the mail. I appreciate any help you can offer.
