San Diego Snake Removal

California has an abundance of snakes, from venomous pit vipers like copperheads or rattlers, to harmless snakes like rat snakes and garter snakes. Many of these snakes live in urban or neighborhood settings in the city of San Diego.

I have spent my career talking with hundreds of snake removal guys throughout the USA, and I myself have personally trained close to 20 so far. In the city of San Diego, I recommend Eric at Wildlife Removal, Inc, who I know personally, and who I trained. He can usually come out same-day, often very quickly, to catch your unwanted snake(s).

I like this wildlife removal company, and I think they are your best bet for snake control in San Diego. If he is not available, you can do a search for a different San Diego snake removal company, but be sure you are comfortable with their service and prices before you hire. San Diego snake control is of course a specialty field, and not every expert in you hire is the same - you don't want to hire a snake exterminator or pest control company, but a specialty California wild animal removal professional.

Snake Tip: How to get rid of snakes - Snakes are very beneficial to the environment, so make sure you are not trying to get rid of them because of a hatred for all things legless. Most snakes are harmless to people and kill rodents and insects that can be true nuisance animals. It is possible, however, that your property is appealing to snakes and you have an abundance of the creatures. Do not waste your time trying the spray repellents on the market. These are mostly sulfur or naphthalene based sprays. The only scent deterrents that have seen any success—though it is infrequent—is mongoose urine and kingsnake musk. Neither of these liquids is available to the public. You’re welcomed to try the shake cans and sprays that are in your local feed store; just know that you have been warned. If you need to get rid of snakes, the best way to go about it is with a box trap. Some traps work far better than others, and a useful model will have attractant dots and glue to hold the snake in place. Property modification can be helpful, since that is the reason why the snakes are near your home to begin with. Snakes like vegetation and debris. Make sure your yard is free of both.

San Diego Reader Emails:
Hello, I came acrossed your site when I was looking up snake information on the net. We just moved to San Diego, California, after we graduated with our masters. We have a fenced in back yard and by the orange tree there are holes in the ground. We asked the pest control guy what they could be from and he said snakes or moles. They are way to big to be mole holes. I was just wondering if you knew what they could be from. I found your site and I thought you were have some advice. There seems to be some holes that were covered with sand or something from the previous house renters. I really don't know but I am terrified of snakes. It is a fear of mine. I hope they are not snake holes!!! Can you help?? Warm Regards, Katina
