Cleveland Snake Removal

Ohio has an abundance of snakes, from venomous pit vipers like copperheads or rattlers, to harmless snakes like rat snakes and garter snakes. Many of these snakes live in urban or neighborhood settings in the city of Cleveland.

I have spent my career talking with hundreds of snake removal guys throughout the USA, and I myself have personally trained close to 20 so far. In the city of Cleveland, I recommend Ken at Wildlife & Environmental Solutions. He can usually come out same-day, often very quickly, to catch your unwanted snake(s).

I like this wildlife removal company, and I think they are your best bet for snake control in Cleveland. If he is not available, you can do a search for a different Cleveland snake removal company, but be sure you are comfortable with their service and prices before you hire. Cleveland snake control is of course a specialty field, and not every expert in you hire is the same - you don't want to hire a snake exterminator or pest control company, but a specialty Ohio wild animal removal professional.

Snake Tip: Snakes in house - Snakes in your house are probably entering through a crack in your foundation or a gap around one of your doorways. Uneven door jams are the source of a lot of pest animal issues with homeowners. Make sure you home is sealed as tightly as possible. Leaving openings is extending an invitation to any animal that thinks your home is better than the one it can create outside. Snakes do not enter a home because they want to live inside. A snake that lives in a foundation crack will often find itself inside because that is the natural progression of its travel. Snakes in the house want to get outside; there is no need to slaughter the animals without hesitation. People forget how beneficial snakes are to a property by keeping away rodents and insects. Make sure you can safely identify the snake before you attempt to remove it. A venomous snake should never be approached or handled by anyone other than a professional. Snakes can strike with lightning speed and over a surprising distance. It is not worth the risk of being bitten. Even nonvenomous snakes can bite and leave a nasty wound. These bites are often filled with anticoagulants, so they bleed profusely and are prone to infection.

Cleveland Reader Emails:
Hi David: I was fishing in a Bass Tournament at Johns Lake, Killarney, FL on Saturday and during weigh-in at 3 pm, one of the fishermen told me he saw a big white snake sliding off the matted down grass and only saw about 4 feet of it but it was 8 to 10 inches in diameter. Well, I'm a Florida Native and I know there are no Florida Snakes like that unless its an Albino but I'm thinking Water Python. The location was near the Johns Lake boat ramp between the ramp and the first set of boat houses. The water is 53 degrees so the snake was sunning itself until the boater spooked it. I figure it is probably 5 or 6+ feet in length and us fishermen don't need a Water Python in that lake. I was trying to alert the Game and Fish Comm. but their website doesn't have any mention for reporting exotic snakes. Guess the best time to look for this bad boy is when the sun is out sunny and bright as it will be sunning again somewhere. Harry - Cleveland
